The Royal dancers of Rosary Academy are on FIRE! RADT has competed in three competitions and has done an outstanding job bringing home big wins in all categories. The Rosary Dance Team competes in the Pom and Jazz divisions of each competition and are killing it!

Senior Co-Captain Daly Holman said, “My favorite part about competition season thus far has been doing our jazz dance for the first time. We all had so much fun putting on our new costumes (inspired by Beyoncé) and performing our routine for a live audience.”

Emma Vasquez ‘23 stated, “My favorite thing about this season was the football games and dancing with my best friends. I am so proud of the team. We cannot wait to walk through the castle soon!” If you are wondering what the castle is, let me explain. The “castle” is the UDA stage. Since the national competition is in Orlando, home of Disney World, they have a cool castle set up for the competition.

This past weekend at their last regional competition of the season, varsity placed first for both Pom and Jazz, and junior varsity placed first in Jazz and third in Pom. This was a great way to prepare for Nationals, and varsity cannot wait to perform in front of the castle again after two years.

Senior Co-Captain Lily Demman had this to say, “I am looking forward to spending a week with the team and showing off all of our hard work. Our costumes are pretty sick, so that will be fun.”

RADT leaves for Nationals in Florida this Sunday. There will be a kick-off for the dance team at 3:30 p.m. in the Karcher Center on Sunday, Jan. 30. Come out to support your Royals and wish them good luck at Nationals!
