Rosary’s cross country team faced their last race at the Trinity League Finals cross country meet this past Friday. Even through cross country had a rough season, they made memories that will last a lifetime and gave it their all in their final meet.

Captain Elena Walz ’22 shared “I am so proud of my team for making it this far in the cross country season. Cross country is a grueling sport, so this race really proved how strong we are as a team. I can’t wait to come back to see you guys race when I’m in college.”

As the season comes to a close, the team recalls their favorite memories while they waited for the race to begin.

Kate Simmons ’22  recalled her favorite memory: “I ate pumpkins seeds before the Mt. Sac. race and they were delicious.”

Kat Martin’s ’22 favorite memory was, “when we got our camo tarp. We could never afford a tarp to sit on at meets. So when we got ours, it was amazing.”

Sophia Long ’24 stated, “My favorite memory was our race at Woodbridge. I loved how much our team bonded before the race. Also, that one time before our last practice where Kat lost her keys. That was really funny.”

Alyssa Ramirez ’24 stated, “There’s a lot of good memories. My favorite one was our last Saturday practice near the beach. It was to see on to our run.”

Ashley Hawley ’25 said, “The van ride to meets are always fun. We have such a postive energy and being in the van made it so much better. Also one time we played ‘Toxic’ by Britney spears in the van. A moment to remember.”

The cross country team clearly had a memorable season and a great run. Make sure to support these Royal Runners next season!
