Reading the Bible alone is daunting to many. It is such a beautiful way to increase time spent with God, but sometimes doing so alone is what scares people away from scripture reflection. To solve this problem, Rosary’s newest member of the Campus Ministry team, Ms. Dorsett, and one of the amazing science teachers, Ms. Waldman, began hosting weekly lunchtime Gospel reflections. Every Thursday, girls of all grades gather in Room 1 for a reading of the Gospel, discussion of the text, some social interaction, and, most importantly, Ms. Dorsett’s brownies.

When asked why she wanted to start this group, Ms. Dorsett shared, “I wanted a way to connect on a smaller scale with the students. I led something similar to this in college and I like the format of discussing the readings and then hearing them at Mass because itโ€™s a really fruitful experience so I wanted to bring that here too.”

After only three meetings, the group is already a success. Emma Fredman ’23 stated: “My favorite part of the Gospel reflection is being able to share my faith with my fellow sisters and make new connections!” The group has already bonded so much and really enjoys these weekly meetings.

Don’t forget to stop by Room 1 next Thursday for some fellowships and delicious brownies!
