On Monday, Oct. 11, Rosary Academy held their annual Open House from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event was held for families and their daughters who may be interested in attending Rosary Academy.

Many girls who are considering coming to Rosary were able to receive a tour around the campus, watch the cheer and dance team perform, and have the chance to talk to faculty.

Families were also able to enjoy dinner and listen to the Rosary choir perform in the quad. In the Assembly Hall, there is also the opportunity to meet and talk with different athletic coaches.

Michaela Watson, sister of Julia Watson ’24 and Jojo Watson ’22, shared her favorite moments at Open House: “My favorite part was walking through the entire campus with my student leader, Megan Martinez, and hearing her experiences in her classes. She made me feel welcomed and introduced me to so many amazing teachers. She also taught me a lot about all of the extracurriculars Rosary offers, and I even got to watch her perform with the dance team.”

Royal Ambassadors and ASB members had the opportunity to help out during Open House. Many girls either gave tours, or helped at the check-in or athletic stands.

Jada Alexis ’23 is a Royal Ambassador at Rosary Academy, and she shared her favorite part about being able to help out during Open House: “I loved meeting new families and showing them the best part of being a Rosary royal.”

Open House is a great opportunity for teachers to inform many families and their daughters about the academic programs and its curriculum. Teachers are able to explain the different courses and its requirements for that specific department.

Rosary Academy’s Sophomore English teacher, Mrs. Luebke, stated, “My highlight of the night was eating tacos and talking to new families in the English classroom.”

Open House is a great night to really show what Rosary is all about. It provides specific information about athletics, academics, and the school as a whole. It is a great opportunity for many families who may not know much about Rosary to learn why the school would be a perfect fit for their daughter.
